Teach-in dicusses hate
Hundreds of people from the Franklin Pierce community participated in dialogues on hate at the May 1 Teach-In.
The Teach-In lasted from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in-place of many classes and was organized by the 2008-2009 Student Government Association President Bailey Gaffney, Professor Doug Ley, Bill Beardslee, and members of the Franklin Pierce community to make students better aware of the hatred being expressed in society.…

Stars shine at the talent showStudents showed off their charisma and star performances at the 2008 Talent Show that was held at the Fieldhouse on April 27.
This year's talent show almost failed to take place because of the lack of money the school had funded for clubs. With the funding from the Student Government Association Executive Board and organization from the College Republicans, the show went on.

Diamond in the rough:Nicole Kedaroe"I am a strong black woman, I don't take crap, I admit when I am wrong, and I know when I am right!" said this issue's diamond in the rough, Nicole Kedaroe. Standing at only 5' 1", Kedaroe is a senior getting ready to graduate with a bright future planned out for her; but we'll get to that later.

Ravens rough-up AIC in final home gameFreshmen Lauren Stille and Jordan Baillargeon combined for 12 goals leading the Women's Lacrosse team to a 21-15 win over American International College in their final home game of the season on April 24.
Baillargeon scored seven points while Stille added five in the victory.

University juggles budget:Students show concernFranklin Pierce University
has implemented a tighter budget due to
economic factors, but some students on
campus are not happy with the way the
University is using its money.
The University is urging members of
the community to be careful with their
spending.

Students hit the lotteryThere was no housing crunch this year, as the annual room lottery took place on April 30 at the Fieldhouse.
Senior housing started off the evening at 6:00 p.m. and ended at about 9:30 p.m. with next year's sophomores. Residential Life and a majority of students agreed that Wednesday's event went smoothly compared to last year when a power outage forced everyone to relocate.

Franklin Pierce takes back the nightOn Tuesday night, April 22, members of the Franklin Pierce community gathered in front of the DiPietro Library and Peterson Hall to "Take Back the Night."
C.A.S.A., Community Assistants for Safety Awareness, sponsored the event to raise sexual, physical, and mental assault awareness.
