Katie Judge is the junior captain of the Women's Tennis Team. This season against American International, she won her singles matchup 8-1, and won her doubles match with teammate Francesca Santoro 8-2. What year are you? Junior. Date of birth? November 5, 1987. Hometown? Lowell, MA. What high school did you attend? Lowell Catholic. Do you have any nicknames? Katie Cakes. Why did you choose to attend Franklin Pierce? Other schools were too expensive and Franklin Pierce gave me money. What's your major? Business Management. What's your favorite thing about Franklin Pierce besides tennis? My friends. What's your most memorable athletic moment? My freshman year when I won my first college tennis match. What is your favorite thing about the tennis team? My teammates. What is the toughest part about being a women's tennis player? Staying mentally positive. What do you plan to do after college (as far as athletics and/or career)? I plan to go to grad school and become an occupational therapist. Who do you look for athletic inspiration? My Mem (grandmother) because she is a very strong woman. Best advice you ever received? For as long as I can remember whenever I would leave the house, whether I would be going to school, gymnastics, work, or whatever I was doing my dad would always tell me to do my best work. It's kind of a running joke now because he always says it but on some level over the years the message has sunk in and stuck with me because I always strive to do my personal best. Favorite food?
