The Dynamic Duo, hosted by political analysts Eric Jackman and Justin Martell, had a special guest October 21st. Libertarian Presidential Candidate Bob Barr journeyed up to the Rindge campus for an interview on their show. During the show Bob Barr discussed his position on hot issues in the election. Being a Libertarian, the Congressman expressed the need for the Federal Government to get out of the lives of the people. On issues like gay marriage and the drug war, Barr suggested the state governments take over.

Martell questioned whether Barr believed the 9/11 investigations were efficient, and how people are expected to live in this post 9/11 world. Barr answered, "I was not particularly impressed with the 9/11 commission or its report, but also if I were president, as a steward of the public's money, the tax payer's money, I would not champion just going out and having another investigation, just to have another investigation." He did say that if evidence were presented that posed unanswered questions he would be willing to support another investigation.

Jackman mentioned that Barr has a new book out entitled Patriot Nation: Bob Barr's Laws of the Universe. The book is a collection of articles that Barr has written over the past few years for the Atlanta Journal, UPI, The Washington Times, and other publications. He said, "The common theme for all of these is similar to what we have been talking about and that is the need for the people of this country to retake their freedom, their life, their liberty back from the Federal Government."

After Barr finished his interview with The Dynamic Duo, he answered questions, signed autographs, and took pictures. He then walked over to Marcucella Hall where he met with Students for a Sensible Drug Policy. Barr gave the members an overview on his election platform, and specifically his position on the war on drugs. He said the war on drugs is, "simply not an area where the Federal Government ought to be involved."
