The annual spring concert has been canceled for the spring of 2010; instead Pierce Activities Council (PAC) will be having a night club themed event scheduled for Friday April 9 in the Field House.

The decision came after a survey was given in the glass foyer and a majority of students chose the option of having a professional club dj that included laser lights and sound. “57 percent of students that took the survey chose the night club option,” said Derek Scalia, assistant director of student involvement.
The decision to not have a band for this year’s spring event was not due to lack of budget or lack of involvement with students. “We had a good response last year [with Eve 6],” Scalia said. It was “not based upon money.”
By having the club night, this allows PAC to hold other events throughout the end of the semester” Students should anticipate a lot of events happening towards the end of April,” Scalia said. “Students should expect a lot of high end excitement.”
Past spring concert performers have been Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake and most recently Eve 6.
